Good Morning Church Family,
At Christmas we celebrate the truth that we don’t work our way to God, but rather He descended to us. According to Luke 4:16-21 Christ says he came to fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah to proclaim freedom to the prisoners.
Jesus didn’t come to distract us from sin, but deliver us from sin and it’s consequences. The question is; Will you be vulnerable enough to admit what has placed you in bondage? In a culture that values self sufficiency vulnerability can be difficult. However, only when we come to Christ with the needy vulnerability of a child will the kingdom be ours.
Christ invites us to be vulnerable because He knows how to care for us best. Open yourself to Christ this week. Find a few brothers or sisters who are faithful to Christ and invite them into the journey and find the liberty of Christ together. We only rob each other of the ability to display Christ’s love when we hide our fears. Bring it all into the light so that fellowship might be genuine and freedom found (1 John 1:5-7).
We love you, we’re praying for you, and we hope you have a wonderful Monday morning!
